Red Sea Museum Concludes Youth Summer Camp with Marine Protection Projects

Riyadh: The Red Sea Museum in Historic Jeddah on Saturday concluded its summer camp, "Red Sea Lab," with the participation of 25 children who presented five projects and prototypes applying science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to protect coral reefs and reduce pollution and marine waste. According to Saudi Press Agency, the projects were the culmination of a scientific program that ran from August 25 to 29. This program covered a wide range of topics, including the Red Sea's formation, biodiversity and coral reefs, ocean chemistry, water quality, pollution, climate change, modern technologies, and underwater exploration. Participants applied this knowledge to develop group projects and prototypes that have the potential for further development. "Red Sea Lab" is a reflection of the museum's efforts to engage young people with the marine environment through learning, experimentation, and innovation. The initiative aims to turn scientific knowledge into practical ideas, raising awareness of the im portance of protecting the Red Sea and its natural resources.
