Venice: The Red Sea Film Foundation will have a significant presence at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, with three supported films selected for the festival's Official Selection and eight additional projects participating across key programs of the Venice Production Bridge, the festival's industry platform connecting filmmakers and projects with international producers, financiers, and distributors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival, which will take place from September 2 to 12, 2026, will welcome "Conversation with the Sea," directed by Muayad Alayan, and "Guria," directed by Levan Koguashvili, to Venice Spotlight, while Auguste Bernard Kouemo Yanghu's "House of the Wind" (La Maison du Vent) will compete in the Orizzonti Competition.
Across the Venice Production Bridge, five of the six projects selected for Final Cut in Venice are supported by the Red Sea Film Foundation, alongside three further supported projects selected for the Venice Gap-Financing Market.
The foundation will also continue its support of Final Cut in Venice for the fifth consecutive year, with the Red Sea Fund offering a cash award to one of the films participating in the program, providing further support towards its post-production and completion.
Together, the selections bring the number of Red Sea-supported films and projects represented across the Venice International Film Festival and Venice Production Bridge to 11.

The selections and the foundation's continued partnership with Final Cut in Venice reinforce the foundation's commitment to discovering, developing, and championing distinctive cinematic voices from the Arab world, Africa, and Asia. Through the Red Sea Fund, Red Sea Souk, and Red Sea Labs, the foundation supports filmmakers across different stages of their creative journeys, from development and production to post-production, market access, and international exhibition.
