Riyadh: The Red Sea Film Foundation, in partnership with the Embassy of France in Saudi Arabia and the French Cultural Center, has announced the launch of the fifth edition of its '48-Hour Film Challenge,' with registration open until June 15.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the challenge is part of the foundation's broader mission to support emerging filmmakers and foster a dynamic creative environment for Saudi and resident youth in the independent film industry. Targeted at aspiring directors aged 18 to 25, the initiative aims to uncover new cinematic voices and nurture young talent. Each team must consist of no more than five participants and be led by a Saudi director.

The Red Sea Film Foundation is encouraging young creatives to seize this opportunity to sharpen their skills, collaborate with fellow artists, and gain visibility within the Kingdom's growing film scene. Interested teams can register through the official website.
