Red Sea Film Festival Opens Submissions for 5th Edition

Jeddah: The Red Sea International Film Festival has announced that it is now accepting submissions for its fifth edition, scheduled to take place from December 4 to 12, 2025, at the festival's venue in Jeddah Historic District.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival invites prominent cinematic figures and emerging filmmakers from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Africa, and Asia to submit their applications, starting May 6 and closing August 17, 2025. Filmmakers can benefit from a free early submission period ending July 7, 2025.

The festival encourages filmmakers to submit their distinctive and unique cinematic projects to the following sections: Long Films Competition, Shorts Competition, and the New Saudi/New Cinema section.

Films participating in the Red Sea International Film Festival will compete for the Yusr Awards, including the Golden Yusr Award for Best Feature Film, worth $100,000, as well as other awards such as the Best Director Award, the Jury Award, and the Golden Yusr for Best Short Film.
