Aseer: A captivating celestial display graced Aseer's skies this morning as a rare solar halo formed a perfect, translucent ring around the glowing sun, creating a breathtaking scene that drew residents to capture and share the phenomenon on social media.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Abdullah Al-Musa, a researcher and agricultural calendar specialist in Aseer Region, explained that this optical phenomenon occurs when ice crystals align at a 22-degree angle, producing a striking ring of light around the sun. It results from high-altitude clouds containing tiny ice crystals and may be accompanied by rainbow-like colors due to light dispersion.
