Taif: The highlands of Taif and several surrounding villages and valleys witnessed scattered rainfall ranging from heavy to very heavy, accompanied by thunder, lightning, hail, flash floods, and flowing mountain streams. The rainfall led to a noticeable drop in temperatures and brought refreshing weather conditions across the higher elevations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the scenic conditions drew residents to picnic areas, where they enjoyed the natural beauty of cascading mountain waterfalls and lush landscapes. Many explored villages along the Sarawat Mountain range, particularly the valleys of Dhi Ghazal, Wadi al-Mithannah, Al-Shafa, and Wajj, which are among the most popular destinations during rainfall.
The showers highlighted the charm of villages situated along Taif's valley banks, including Bani Saad, Al-Sir, Al-Safa, Al-Sharif, and Al-A'maq, extending toward the mountain ranges surrounding Jabal Granite and Jabal Daka and passing by major dam sites in the governorate. Weather indicators point to the possibility of continued rainfall in several areas.
