A collaborative memorandum between the Quality-of-Life Program Center and the Golato application has been executed to facilitate athletes' engagement in a variety of sports and offer access to over 500 sports facilities via the National Portal for Hobbies, 'HAWI' platform.
At the signing ceremony, which took place at the Quality-of-Life Program Center in Riyadh, Tareq bin Adnan Al-Ghourabi, the Director General of HAWI, was joined by Eng. Hammad bin Mohammad Al-Hammad, the CEO of the Sports System Company for Information Technology.
The memorandum of cooperation aims to promote Golato users to establish their clubs on the HAWI platform. In addition to taking part in the events and competitions organized by the National Portal for Hobbies 'HAWI' for sports communities, it also involves forging collaborative partnerships with several academies specializing in diverse sports disciplines.
To mark the signing of this agreement by the Quality-of-Life Program, and as part of the National Portal for Hobbies' commitment to delivering top-quality services for HAWI club members to pursue their sporting interests, 1,000 free reservations have been made available through the HAWI platform across different regions and cities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The establishment of HAWI in October 2022 was a response to the desire of thousands of hobbyists around the Kingdom to find a sponsor that would enable them to start clubs for their preferred interests. Hobbyists' needs for a legal framework to support their interests were met by HAWI, which also offered a variety of other services. That is to say, HAWI's mission includes reserving venues for hosting events and activities, granting permits for organizing amateur events and hobbies, issuing tickets for such events, facilitating funding requests for amateur clubs, securing incubator and shared workspace reservations, and processing various operational and financial support applications tailored to each club's specific needs. Due to the high demand from enthusiasts seeking to establish their own clubs, HAWI platform has seen the number of clubs surpassing 570.
