The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) edged 0.01% lower at start of trading on Tuesday, down 1.18 points to reach the level of 10,221 points compared to yesterday's closing. QSE general index saw a rise in three sectors: Real Estate by 0.77%; Telecoms by 0.67%; and Industrials by 0.09%. However, the index was weighed down by a decline in Banks and Financial Services by 0.21%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.10%; Insurance by 0.02%; and Transportation by 0.01%. By 10:00 am, 51.908 million shares were traded in 2,963 transactions valued QR 83.612 million. Source: Qatar News Agency
