QFZA Chairman Participates in Turkish-Arab Economic Forum in Istanbul

Istanbul, – HE Minister of State, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) Ahmad bin Mohammed Al Sayed participated in the 14th Turkish-Arab Economic Forum (TAF’2023), held in Istanbul under the title “A New Era of Partnership.” His Excellency participated in a ministerial panel discussion entitled “Meeting Global Challenges, Seizing New Opportunities, and Forging Financial and Digital Frontiers,” which discussed various topics, including global challenges and newly found opportunities, energy and trade, as well as the evolving digital landscape.

On the sidelines of the forum, HE Minister of State, Chairman of the Board of Directors of QFZA met separately with HE Minister of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Turkiye Mehmet Simsek, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkiye Rifat Hisarciklioglu, and Governor of the Central Bank of Turkiye Hafiza Ghaya Erkan.

During the meetings, they discussed ways of cooperation, coordination, and integration in the fields of investment, free zones, and business between the two countries.
