Qatar Stock Exchange index rose by 0.69% at the beginning of Sunday’s trading, adding 70.26 points to its balance to rise to the level of 10,215 points, compared to last Thursday’s closing, supported by five sectors.
Qatar Stock Exchange figures attributed the positive performance of the general index to an increase of the real estate by 2.44%, the industrial sector by 1.35%, the communications sector by 0.82%, the bank and financial services sector by 0.33%, and the insurance sector by 0.10%. On the other hand, the consumer goods and services sector declined by 0.01%, and the transport sector fell by 0.21%.
At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 1415 transactions worth QR 99.193 million, distributed to 52.391 million shares. (QNA)
