Qassim Municipality to Turn Uyun Al-Jiwa’s Historic Hilltop into Tourist Destination

Qassim: Qassim Municipality, represented by Uyun Al-Jiwa Municipality, is preparing Al-Marqab Mountain to become an attractive tourist and social destination. The initiative aims to capitalize on the site's elevated location and natural and historical features to enhance the experience of residents and visitors, while also stimulating tourism activity in the governorate. According to Saudi Press Agency, Uyun Al-Jiwa Municipality Chairman Eng. Falah Al-Jabreen stated that the development of the mountain is a part of the municipality's efforts to improve historical and natural sites. He emphasized the importance of Al-Marqab's elevation and its prominent views, which offer a unique perspective of the governorate's natural landscape. Al-Jabreen further highlighted that the mountain is a significant landmark tied to the history of Uyun Al-Jiwa, having been historically utilized for surveillance. The site's elevated location not only provides opportunities to enjoy nature and scenic views but also encourages eng agement in social and recreational activities.
