Buraidah: The 17th edition of the Qassim Chamber of Commerce’s Klija Festival, held at the King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraidah, is leveraging specialized seasonal events to stimulate the local economy and support small and micro enterprises by providing direct marketing platforms for productive families, artisans, and freelancers.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival features more than 18 Klija producers, around 170 productive families, over 18 artisans, nearly 15 food trucks, and approximately 55 companies and institutions. This broad participation reflects the strong economic activity generated by the event, both in food and handicraft production and in the accompanying commercial movement, contributing to increased income opportunities for participating families.
The festival forms part of the chamber’s broader efforts to promote the region’s economy, empower productive families, artisans, and small projects, and transform them into sustainable economic entities. It goes beyond being a heritage celebration, instead serving as an integrated economic incubator that supports entrepreneurship and self-employment.
