Medina: As part of its preparations for the Hajj season 1446 AH, the agency for the care and management of the Prophet's Mosque is offering comprehensive services to ensure comfortable worship for people with disabilities, underscoring the Kingdom's commitment to high-quality care and support.
According to Saudi Press Agency, key services include 10 located prayer areas within the mosque's northern, western, and eastern expansions, strategically positioned near entrances and exits to facilitate easy access.
A dedicated room on the western roof of the Prophet's Mosque has been designated for the deaf and mute, with a capacity to accommodate up to 100 individuals, allowing them to pray and watch the Friday sermon in sign language.
The enhanced services also include designated parking spaces for disabled individuals, over 2,500 complimentary wheelchairs available in the mosque courtyards, ramps for easy movement, and accessible restrooms for elderly and disabled visitors.
