Muscat: Executive Director of the International Dates Council Princess Sarah bint Bandar bin Abdulaziz met today in Muscat with Omani Minister of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al-Habsi. During the meeting, they reviewed areas of cooperation in the dates sector and discussed ways to develop coordination frameworks that support enhancing added value and raising the competitiveness of dates in regional and international markets, in light of the reference role played by the council in building knowledge and exchanging expertise among member states.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting included a visual presentation on the status of the dates sector in Oman, highlighting key indicators and development trends of the ecosystem, as well as arrangements related to Oman's organization of the Fourth International Dates and Honey Exhibition (Nizwa, Arab Capital of Dates 2026).
