Prince Sultan University Hosts Eighth International Women in Data Science Conference

Riyadh: The 2025 Eighth International Women in Data Science Conference (WiDS PSU 2025) officially opened today at Prince Sultan University, in collaboration with Stanford University, bringing together a distinguished group of local and international experts, along with prominent female leaders from higher education, industry, and scientific research.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference is organized by the university's Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (AIDA) Lab and serves as a premier knowledge-sharing platform. It showcases women's achievements in data science, engineering, and computer science. This year's edition is held under the theme: "Empowering Women: AI for Sustainability and Gender Inclusiveness."

WiDS PSU 2025 features keynote speeches and panel discussions that offer strategic insights into the evolving landscape of data science and the pivotal role women play in shaping its future. A main highlight of the event was the announcement of the winners of the "Innovate Spark Challenge," which recognized outstanding youth-led projects in AI and emerging technologies.
