Aseer: The Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project for the Development of Historical Mosques has completed the renovation of Al-Qalaa Mosque in Al-Hinakiyah, Madinah Region: The Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project for the Development of Historical Mosques has successfully completed the renovation of the Al-Qalaa Mosque, situated in the Al-Hinakiyah area of the Madinah Region. Originally constructed in the early 14th century AH, the mosque, which was formerly known as the Hamad bin Samiha Mosque, has undergone significant expansion to serve the local community better.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the restored mosque now covers an area of 263.55 square meters, a notable increase from its original 181.75 square meters, and can accommodate up to 171 worshippers. Located 102 kilometers northeast of Madinah, Al-Qalaa Mosque continues to be a significant religious and social hub for the community, maintaining its historical essence while embracing modern needs.

The restoration work is part of a broader initiative aligned with Vision 2030, focusing on preserving the authentic architectural character of historical mosques. The project follows four strategic objectives: rehabilitating mosques for prayer, restoring their architectural authenticity, highlighting Saudi Arabia's civilizational dimension, and elevating the status of historical sites across the Kingdom.
