Riyadh: Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Fahad National Library Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz received the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and his delegation at the library's headquarters in Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting focused on discussing scientific and knowledge cooperation and enhancing integration between research centers and national libraries. Prince Faisal witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the King Fahad National Library and Derasat.
The memorandum of understanding aims to establish cooperation beneficial to research and knowledge communities, covering areas such as knowledge and scientific exchange, information and document sharing, delegation visits, and the organization of seminars, workshops, and conferences. Additionally, it includes the development of joint training plans and programs.
Prince Faisal emphasized that the agreement strengthens the existing partnership with the Kingdom of Bahrain in research and studies, serving as an example of integration among institutions dedicated to preserving, producing, and making knowledge accessible.
