Riyadh: Prince Abdulmohsin bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Yanbu: has inaugurated direct flights from Istanbul, Trkiye, to Yanbu in cooperation with Turkish Airlines. The milestone was celebrated with a welcoming ceremony held at the airport’s international arrivals terminal.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the launch of international routes through Cluster2 reflects the company’s continued commitment to enhancing passenger experience and expanding international travel options. It also underscores efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships with global airlines to boost air connectivity across the Kingdom.
The airport has recorded notable growth in passenger and flight numbers. From January to September 2024, the airport served more than 366,000 passengers, while during the same period in 2025, the number rose to over 415,000, marking an increase of 13.3%.
Also, the number of flights rose from 4,109 during the first nine months of 2024 to 4,246 in the same period of 2025, reflecting a 3.3% growth.
