Jeddah: The press conference for the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters tournament was held yesterday in the Green Halls at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City in Jeddah. President of the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation Naif Al-Jaweini, Chairman of the World Snooker Tour (WST) Steve Dawson, and the most famous players competing in the tournament attended the conference.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Jaweini lauded the Ministry of Sport's support and supervision, as well as the role of the successful partnership with Matchroom and the World Snooker Tour. He also noted that the sport receives unlimited support from the wise leadership, and that this, along with the organizational and technical successes, helps to solidify the Kingdom's position on the global sports map.
The WST chairman expressed his confidence in presenting an exceptional edition of the tournament this year and praised the excellent facilities and organizational environment provided by the Kingdom. He also noted that Jeddah has become a major destination for international snooker events.
At the press conference, the players expressed their excitement about being in Jeddah for the event and their readiness to deliver matches on par with the world's best.
