President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended on Sunday 12/7/2020 the opening of a number of national projects, including the third stage of Al Asmarat housing project in Cairo’s Mokattam district (Al Asmarat 3).
The inauguration ceremony started by reciting some verses of holy Quran.
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, House Speaker Ali Abdel Aal and a number of ministers attended the ceremony.
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said Al Asmarat housing project is part of a big national program aiming at developing all unsafe areas across the nation.
Then, Planning Minister Hala el Saeed stressed that the diversity of the Egyptian economy helped ease negative repercussions of coronavirus pandemic.
The minister said the fact that the Egyptian economy does not mainly rely on tourism or petroleum sectors but on many sectors helped the State adapt with the current global crisis.
Trade and Industry Minister Nevin Gamea said the initiative to replace old vehicles aims at providing more road safety to drivers and passengers, make the best use of unexploited auto factories and industries feeding them, and lower pollution and harmful emissions.
Finance Minister Mohamed Maait talked about the new fund that will be launched soon to promote consumption.
President Sisi stressed at the ceremony that all measures adopted by the government took into consideration citizens’ interests and were meant to help state press ahead with required progress rather than adding burdens on them.
At the end of the inauguration ceremony, a documentary film was screened featuring several slums that were turned into urban communities, including Al Asmarat project.
