President of Burundi Receives Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

Gitega, President of the Republic of Burundi Evariste Ndayishimiye has received the Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet's Member, and, Climate Affairs Envoy, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, who is on an official visit to Burundi.

During the meeting, Al-Jubeir conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the Burundian president, wishing the government and people of Burundi further progress and prosperity.

In turn, the Burundian president sent his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince, and the Saudi government and people.

Topics of common interest were discussed during the meeting.

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s thanks and appreciation of the Republic of Burundi for its support for the Kingdom’s bid to host World Expo 2030 in Riyadh, and the Kingdom’s candidacy to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup™.

The meeting was attended by the Director-General of the Minister's office, Ambassador Khalid bin Musaed Al-Anqari.
