Portugal Officially Recognises State of Palestine

New York: Portugal officially recognised the State of Palestine, yesterday.

According to Nam News Network, Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel made the announcement at the Portuguese UN mission in New York. He emphasized that Portugal views a two-state solution as the only viable path to achieving peace in the region.

Rangel stated that it is time to take necessary steps towards peace, advocating for a ceasefire and the opening of borders to allow humanitarian aid. The declaration coincided with the eve of the High-Level Conference on the two-state solution, organized by France and Saudi Arabia at the UN headquarters in New York.
