Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese sent a cable of greeting to Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed Tayyeb on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.
In the cable, Pope Tawadros II extended his heartfelt greetings to Azhar Grand Imam and Egyptians on the occasion, saying he prayed to Allah to help Tayyeb in his efforts to raise awareness and spread enlightening thought nationwide.
The Pope also sent similar cables of greeting to Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa and Egypt’s Mufti Shawky Allam on the same occasion.
