Sisi attends Eidul Fitr celebration with martyrs’ families

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended a celebration Wednesday June 5, 2019 with families of police and army victims to mark the Lesser Bairam.

The celebration was organized at the Manara Center with the aim to pay tribute to the martyrs and their families for their limitless sacrifices for the sake of Egypt.

President Sisi first welcomed families of the martyrs and victims and greeted them on the Lesser Bairam.

He wished them all a happy feast.

This is the second such celebration organized with families of the victims.

A documentary was played on the first celebration, which was held last year also at the Manara Center.

A troupe from the Galhoum Gymnastics Academy performed a show during the celebration.

Pop star Tamer Hosny participated in the event and sang a number of children and national songs.

The president then honored some of the martyrs’ families.

President Sisi accompanied the orphans to the playing area, which was set up to bring joy to children during the celebration.

Sisi also shook hands with a number of actors taking part in the event, including Mohamed Heneidi, Ahmed Fahmy and Karim Abdel Aziz.

The president took pictures with the children and some of the families and distributed souvenirs to the kids.

Attending the celebration were Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki and Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq.
