PM reviews implementation status of public utility projects ?

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli held a meeting Monday with Housing Minister Assem el Gazzar to follow up on the implementation status of public utility projects being carried out by the housing ministry nationwide.

During the meeting, Madbouli said the state attaches great importance to public utility projects being implemented by the ministry, particularly projects of the presidential Decent Life initiative, to improve the living conditions of Egyptians at villages.

He also stressed the need for using modern sewage treatment techniques to provide clean water in line with presidential directives on that score.

The meeting tackled steps taken to establish seawater treatment plants with the aim of producing 8.5 million m3 of clean water a day by 2050 to meet the needs of citizens and development plans.

The meeting also reviewed a plan to install prepaid meters to rationalize water consumption.
