Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr Hala el Saeed said her ministry is keen on evidence-based planning, by making use of databases and performance measurement indicators in all development fields.
The establishment of the Egyptian Impact Laboratory aims to strengthen evidence-based policies and improve development results, the ministry said in a statement released on Wednesday 28/4/2021on the minister’s meeting with officials of the Abdul Latif Jameel Laboratory for Practical Applications to Combat Poverty (J-PAL) in the Middle East to discuss the implementation of the bilateral cooperation agreement between the ministry and the lab to establish the Egyptian Laboratory for Impact Measurement.
The meeting covered expertise and experiments of international institutions in the field of projects and ways to implement them with government bodies or the Egyptian JPAL sector institutions, head of the ministry’s modeling unit Riham Rizq said.
