Pilgrim Experience Program Unveils Strong Growth in 2024 Annual Report

Riyadh: The Pilgrim Experience Program, a key initiative under the Kingdom's Vision 2030, has issued its 2024 annual report, showing a 101% increase in arrivals compared to 2022, an achievement attributed to the integration of efforts across sectors and the streamlining of procedures to facilitate pilgrimage.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the report highlighted the achievements of the program and its affiliated entities in enhancing services for pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors, showcasing the Kingdom's efforts to provide a rich, seamless, and spiritually fulfilling experience from the moment pilgrims begin planning their journey until their safe return home.

The report outlined that 2024 saw the arrival of more than 18.5 million pilgrims and Umrah performers from abroad, including 16.92 million Umrah performers, exceeding the year's targets.

The report also highlighted advancements in digital services, notably the Nusuk platform, now offering more than 100 services to users to streamline travel, booking, and pilgrimage arrangements. Meanwhile, the Makkah Route Initiative, designed to expedite travel procedures for pilgrims in their home countries, has benefited over 940,000 travelers since its inception.

The report concluded by emphasizing that these milestones are the result of the unwavering support of the Kingdom's leadership and the concerted efforts of various government agencies. It reaffirmed that serving pilgrims remains a top national priority, with continued innovation and integration aimed at enhancing their religious and cultural journey in line with the aspirations of Vision 2030.
