Participants in King Abdulaziz International Competition Head to Madinah

Makkah: The participants in the 45th edition of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, departed Makkah today heading to Madinah. This follows the conclusion of the final rounds of the competition, which lasted six consecutive days with the participation of 179 contestants representing 128 countries from across the world's continents. According to Saudi Press Agency, the participants embarked on a spiritually enriching journey to the City of the Prophet, where a comprehensive program was prepared for them. This program includes visiting the Prophet's Mosque, performing prayers there, and greeting the Prophet and his two Companions. It also features visits to the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex, Quba Mosque, Mount Uhud, Uhud Martyrs Square, and a number of museums and historical landmarks. The ministry provides logistical and organizational services to ensure th e comfort of the participants. The working committees supervised their transportation, facilitated procedures, and mobilized all means to ensure the smooth implementation of their program in a spiritual atmosphere. Staff members exerted continuous efforts in serving the contestants and the guests of the competition, reaffirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's care for its guests and keenness on the success of this event.
