Palms and Dates Centre Enhances Buraidah Carnival with Digital Trading Platform

General

Buraidah: The National Centre for Palms and Dates, organizer of the Buraidah Dates Carnival, has announced the continuation of its digital platform for seasonal markets at Date City in Buraidah for a second consecutive year.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the platform, which offers free electronic registration, aims to regulate buying and selling in seasonal date markets by digitally documenting transactions. This initiative is designed to enhance transparency, safeguard rights, improve market efficiency, and facilitate the user experience for farmers, marketers, and buyers.

Built on six key objectives, the digital service seeks to regulate contractual relationships, enhance performance efficiency, improve sales processes, strengthen governance and trust, and create a comprehensive database to support decision-making.

In its first year, the platform successfully documented thousands of transactions across several seasonal markets. This success has fostered a more professional environment and supported the development of the date sector in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
