Palestinian Injured, Dozens Suffocated during Clashes with Occupation Forces in West Bank

A Palestinian was injured and dozens suffocated on Tuesday during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in Husan village, west of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.

The confrontations were focused in Al Muteena area, where the occupation forces fired tear gas canisters, stun grenades, and rubber-coated metal bullets, injuring a young man with a metal bullet, while several Palestinians suffocated due to inhaling the tear gas, security sources reported.

The sources added that the occupation forces fired tear gas towards the citizens and assaulted a member of the Hebron municipal council Liana Abu Aisha when she was trying to open the old building of municipality which faces the risk of being seized by settlers, and assaulted her causing bruises in her body.

The assault sparked clashes around the aforementioned building at the entry of Old City in the center of Hebron during which the occupation forces fired tear gas towards members of the municipal council injuring some of them due to inhaling the gas and they were treated on the field accordingly.
