Riyadh: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the statement issued following the emergency open-ended meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Executive Committee, held at OIC headquarters in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the request of the State of Palestine. The ministry said the statement reflects the centrality of the Palestinian cause to the OIC's member states.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry commended the swift responses of the Executive Committee member states and of OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha to the call to convene the meeting, which was attended by all member states.
