Al-baha: "Pakora" is considered the most prominent dish on the iftar table of the Pakistani community in Al-Baha Region during the holy month of Ramadan. It represents a well-established annual tradition and an essential part of the Ramadan Iftar table, alongside other dishes that reflect the community's culinary and cultural heritage.
According to Saudi Press Agency, members of the community are keen to prepare pakora shortly before the Maghrib prayer adhan, as a light dish made from vegetables dipped in a mixture of flour and spices, then fried until it acquires its distinctive golden color. It is served hot at iftar, amid an atmosphere marked by harmony and family togetherness.
Several members of the community noted that sharing this dish with Saudi friends has become an annual custom that reflects the spirit of cultural exchange and social closeness. They pointed out that the Ramadan table provides an opportunity to strengthen bonds of brotherhood, particularly given the security, stability, and coexistence enjoyed in the Kingdom by people of different nationalities.
