Islamabad: Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif affirmed that his country would continue to play a constructive role in efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote peace and stability in the region, expressing hope that the regional situation would improve in the coming weeks. This came during his chairing of a federal cabinet meeting on Thursday in Islamabad, where he reviewed a number of regional, economic, and political developments. According to Saudi Press Agency, on the economic front, the prime minister said, 'The measures taken by the government have begun to yield gradual results,' stressing the need to continue reforms until economic conditions return to normal.
