Pakistan and Tajikistan discussed mutual cooperation during the visit of Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to Dushanbe on Tuesday. According to the Pakistan Foreign Office, at the invitation of President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon; Sharif undertook a two day official visit to Tajikistan. During his meeting with Tajik President, the Pakistani premier discussed mutual cooperation between the two countries in different fields. He highlighted Pakistan's unlimited potential for international investment in energy, minerals, industry, agriculture and other sectors during his visit. The Prime Minister invited the Tajik President to invest in Pakistan in various sectors and expand regional and social ties between the two countries. On the occasion, the Tajik President emphasized long-standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan. The visit is a part of regular high-level exchanges between Pakistan and Tajikistan. "The two sides will engage in wide-ranging discussions on areas o f mutual interest to further deepen bilateral cooperation especially in the areas of regional connectivity, trade, people-to-people contacts and energy as well as cooperation on multilateral issues.
