Madinah: The Madinah Regional Municipality has completed its preparations for the Hajj season 1446 AH with a comprehensive awareness and field plan aimed at providing the best services to pilgrims, promoting public awareness on adhering to health guidelines and standards, and ensuring public health and pilgrim safety as part of its broader service efforts. The municipality said the plan is being carried out by 6,432 personnel and 825 pieces of machinery working around the clock. The plan aims to boost pilgrims' confidence in the quality of food and services, highlight the municipality's role as a key partner in organization and public health, spread pedestrian traffic regulations, and showcase the religious and historical heritage of Madinah.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the plan focuses on intensifying inspections of establishments, ensuring compliance with health standards, verifying the quality of services provided, and encouraging voluntary community participation in serving pilgrims to deliver the highest quality services. It also includes enhanced cleaning efforts in courtyards and roads in the central area, Islamic historical sites, and residential neighborhoods. Additionally, the municipality is deploying teams for road and lighting maintenance, market and fuel station inspections, public health pest control, and field monitoring teams to detect violations and combat commercial fraud in coordination with relevant authorities.
