Over 5 Million Worshippers Attend Prayers at Prophet’s Mosque in a Week

Medina: The Prophet's Mosque witnessed an attendance of 5,037,157 worshippers last week, with the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque ensuring a seamless flow of visitors and offering comprehensive services to meet their needs.

According to Saudi Press Agency, a total of 607,591 visitors greeted the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his two companions. Additionally, 300,682 individuals performed prayers in the Holy Rawdah, where the authority implemented crowd management procedures and visitation schedules to ensure order and accessibility.

The authority placed emphasis on communication and hygiene. Multilingual communication services assisted 6,391 visitors from various countries, enabling effective interaction and guidance. Extensive sterilization and disinfection efforts were executed to uphold a high standard of hygiene, utilizing 24,256 liters of disinfectant.

A significant supply of Zamzam water, totaling 1,370 tons, was made available throughout the week, with 166 samples collected for testing and analysis. The authority also facilitated the distribution of 219,227 iftar meals in designated areas within the mosque, ensuring convenient access to food for worshippers breaking their fast.
