Over 4.6 Million Cubic Meters of Floodwater Flow into Al-Baha’s Dams

Al-baha: Several dams in Al-Baha Region have recorded significant increases in rainwater storage levels, with total inflows reaching approximately 4,674,638 cubic meters during the recent period. These levels are attributed to heavy rainfall across most of the region's governorates and cities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the local branch of the Saudi Irrigation Organization stated that Al-Baha Region experienced flooding between March 19 and April 6, 2026, impacting several governorates.

It clarified that during this period, approximately 4,674,638 cubic meters of water flowed into the dams, resulting in a significant rise in water levels. These volumes were managed in accordance with approved emergency plans, with dam gates and valves operated strategically to release water, safeguard the infrastructure, and protect surrounding areas.
