Riyadh: More than 30 mayors and city leaders from around the world will gather in Riyadh this December for an international meeting held on the sidelines of CoMotion GLOBAL 2025. Discussions will delve into the future of urban mobility and showcase best practices in sustainable infrastructure, transport systems development, and smart city building.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the gathering is part of the 'Mayors in Motion' initiative launched by CoMotion GLOBAL 2025 to align the efforts of over 100 mayors and municipal officials worldwide to accelerate urban innovation and advance sustainable development.
The initiative supports the creation of more connected and sustainable urban environments. It aims to facilitate knowledge exchange through an international network that helps coordinate strategies and address key urban challenges, including decarbonization, digital transformation, and improved mobility systems.
CoMotion GLOBAL 2025 will take place from December 7 to 9, hosted by the Saudi Conventions and Exhibitions General Authority in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services and the Transport General Authority.
The summit will bring together CEOs, policymakers, investors, and researchers from across the globe to explore the future of urban mobility, promote innovation, and advance smart city development.
