Mecca: More than 2.5 million worshippers attended Isha and Taraweeh prayers, marking the completion of the Quran recitation, on the 29th night of Ramadan at the Grand Mosque, amid a serene and spiritual atmosphere.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Grand Mosque has witnessed large crowds of pilgrims and worshippers who filled its halls, courtyards, the Mataf, and surrounding roads, performing their rituals smoothly and safely.
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque mobilized its full capacities through integrated efforts and close coordination with relevant authorities to accommodate the worshippers, facilitate their movement to prayer areas, and ensure accessibility for the elderly and people with disabilities.
Integrated crowd management and guidance plans were implemented, with clearly defined pathways established to streamline movement. Additionally, trained personnel were deployed to assist visitors and pilgrims and answer inquiries in multiple languages.
