Doha: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression that targeted the Qatari capital on Tuesday, describing it as a blatant violation of international law, the United Nations Charter, and international norms.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the OIC strongly denounced this attack, noting that it is a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region and undermines international peace and security. It emphasized that Islamic countries condemn this blatant aggression on the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Qatar.
OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha affirmed that the organization, based on its Charter, resolutions of the Islamic Summit, and decisions of the Council of Foreign Ministers, categorically rejects any aggression against the sovereignty and security of any member state.
The OIC expressed its full solidarity with Qatar and its support for the security, territorial integrity, stability, and safety of its citizens and residents, affirming its backing of all measures taken by Qatar to safeguard its security and sovereignty.
Additionally, the OIC reiterated its call on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to shoulder its responsibilities by compelling Israel to put an end to its dangerous and ongoing aggression in the region, and to commit to respecting international law and international legitimacy resolutions.
