NWC Completes Phase Three of Main Sewerage Line Project in Okaz District, Riyadh

Riyadh: The National Water Company (NWC) has completed Phase Three of the main sewerage line project in the Okaz District of southern Riyadh. The cost of this phase exceeded SAR45 million. The project aims to achieve environmental sustainability and mitigate environmental damage for the district’s residents.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the company stated in a press release that the project includes the installation of a main sewage pipeline with varying diameters and a total length of over 3.6 kilometers. It is an important part of an integrated plan to implement environmental projects serving more than 30,000 residents in the Okaz District. The objectives include eliminating environmental damage, removing visual environmental damage, expanding sewerage services, and enhancing environmental services to meet environmental sustainability goals and improve the quality of life in line with Saudi Vision 2030.



NWC emphasized that this project is part of its ongoing efforts to implement strategic plans to develop the infrastructure of the water and environmental services sectors, and expand coverage rates to align with the rapid urban growth in Riyadh. NWC also highlighted its commitment to achieving development goals with the highest quality standards in project implementation to achieve the desired objectives in this vital sector.
