Norway Dominates Italy with Convincing Hat-Trick in World Cup Qualifiers

Oslo: The Norwegian national team strengthened its lead in Group Nine of the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in America, Mexico, and Canada, following its big and surprising victory over its Italian guest with a score of 3-0, on Friday evening, in the third round of competitions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Italian national team played its first match in the qualifiers after missing the first and second rounds due to its participation in the quarter-finals of the European Nations League, where it was eliminated by the German national team. Meanwhile, the Norwegian national team raised its score to nine points at the top of the group, achieving its third victory in a row.

The match saw the Norwegian team take an early lead when Alexander Sorloth scored in the 14th minute. Antonio Nusa added the second goal in the 34th minute, and Erling Haaland secured the third goal for Norway just three minutes before the end of the regular time of the first half.
