Northern Egypt to see possible rain Saturday; temperatures to decline nationwide: EMA

Areas across Egypt will see a decline in temperatures on Saturday, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) says, expecting also light rainfall on northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt.

Warm weather will be seen in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and northern coasts, while South Sinai will see hot weather and southern Upper Egypt will experience a very hot weather on Saturday.

During night, weather will be nice in Upper Egypt, Lower Egypt, northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt and moderate in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt, added the EMA.

Saturday will also see strong winds that may cause navigation to be disrupted in the Mediterranean Sea. The speed of wind is expected to range from 40-50 km and height of sea waves will record 2-2.5 meters.

Temperatures in some Egyptian governorates will be as follows:

– Cairo – Highs: 29 – Lows: 21

– Alexandria – Highs: 27 – Lows: 21

– Matrouh – Highs: 26 – Lows: 19

– Sohag – Highs: 31 – Lows: 22

– Qena – Highs: 35 – Lows: 24

– Aswan: Highs: 37 – Lows: 25
