Jeddah: The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) announced the addition of the new 'SRS' shipping service by Emirates Shipping Line to Jeddah Islamic Port, a move that will help boost Saudi Arabia's connectivity with global markets, improve supply chain efficiency, and support trade movement across the Red Sea as one of the world's most important maritime corridors. According to Saudi Press Agency, the new shipping service will connect Jeddah Islamic Port with Mundra Port in India and Port of Djibouti, with a carrying capacity of up to 2,144 TEUs. The initiative comes as part of Mawani's efforts to enhance Saudi Arabia's ranking in global performance indicators and support national exports, in line with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy to enhance the Kingdom's position as a global logistics hub and a link connecting three continents.
