Doha, August 15 (QNA) – The newly elected board of Umm Salal Sports Club convened under the leadership of Sheikh Faisal bin Ahmad Al Thani met on Tuesday and discussed a number of key issues related the development of the club, according to a Qatar Olympic Committee bulletin today. During the meeting, Abdulrazaq Abdullah Al Kuwari was elected as Vice president of the club and Mohammad Khamis Al Ali was elected as Treasurer. Khalid Abduljabar was elected as Secretary General while Hussan Aman Al Ali was elected as Assistant Secretary General.
Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al Thani, Johar Al Ali, Mohammad Salim Al Naimi, and Saber Matter Al-Sultan were elected as members.
The meeting gains significance as the focus is currently on achieving excellence in sports following Qatar’s creditable performance at the recently-concluded Olympics in London. (QNA)
