NDMC Completes $3.25 Billion International Sukuk Issuance

Riyadh: The National Debt Management Center (NDMC) has completed arrangements for an international US-dollar-denominated trust certificates (sukuk) issuance under the Kingdom's Global Trust Certificate Issuance Program (KSA Ijarah Sukuk), marking Saudi Arabia's second international issuance based on an Ijarah structure.

According to Saudi Press Agency, KSA Ijarah Sukuk Limited issued $3.25 billion (SAR12.19 billion) in trust certificates across two tranches. The first tranche totaled $1.25 billion (SAR4.69 billion) for five-year sukuk maturing in 2031, while the second tranche amounted to $2 billion (SAR7.5 billion) for 10-year sukuk maturing in 2036. The order book reached around $16.5 billion, with total subscriptions exceeding the issuance size by more than five times.

This transaction aligns with the NDMC's strategy to diversify its investor base and fulfill the Kingdom's financing requirements across international debt capital markets efficiently, effectively, and opportunistically. Strong global investor demand underscores sustained confidence in the Saudi economy's resilience and its promising future investment outlook.
