Riyadh: The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) recently hosted a forum to discuss the vital role of beekeepers in preserving and growing the Kingdom's plant life.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum, which brought together experts, specialists, and beekeepers, highlighted national initiatives by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the NCVC designed to support beekeepers and advance the honeybee sector. Discussions also focused on the environmental and economic connections between bees and mountain forests and the importance of managing grazing areas to ensure sustainability.
The event wrapped up with a dialogue session where participants discussed the challenges facing the honeybee industry and explored new ways to develop the sector, improve cooperation, and help achieve the nation's environmental sustainability goals.
