NCA Showcases Efforts to Enhance Saudi Cyber Defense Capabilities at WDS 2026

General

Riyadh: The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) is leading Saudi Arabia's efforts to strengthen national cyber defense capabilities by building a comprehensive cybersecurity framework aimed at risk reduction, trust enhancement, and enabling the growth of vital sectors in support of the Kingdom's economic and social development.

According to Saudi Press Agency, participating as a cybersecurity partner at the World Defense Show (WDS) 2026, the NCA is highlighting its strategic initiatives to bolster national cyber defenses and address evolving cyber threats. These efforts include round-the-clock monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability identification, and incident response. The authority also secures seasonal events and shares cybersecurity information with national entities to support the delivery of reliable and secure services.

Saudi Arabia's cybersecurity ecosystem has witnessed steady growth since the establishment of the NCA as the Kingdom's official cybersecurity authority, alongside the founding of the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE) as its technical arm. Together, they form the two main pillars of the Saudi cybersecurity model, contributing to the strengthening of national cyber defenses, localization of strategic technologies, and development of advanced cyber capabilities. These efforts have earned the Kingdom a distinguished position in international cybersecurity indices.

As the national authority and reference for cybersecurity, the NCA works to protect the Kingdom's critical interests and national security by safeguarding sensitive infrastructure and priority sectors, establishing cyber incident response frameworks, ensuring compliance, and continuously updating regulatory mechanisms. These efforts aim to achieve a secure and trusted Saudi cyberspace that supports sustainable growth and prosperity.
