General

Riyadh: The National Center for Wildlife (NCW), in cooperation with the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority, has successfully released 35 species into the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve. This initiative is part of NCW's ongoing efforts to breed and reintroduce endangered wildlife back into their natural habitats.

According to Saudi Press Agency, CEO of NCW Dr. Mohammad Qurban emphasized that these releases are carried out based on rigorous scientific principles. These principles ensure that the site readiness and environmental conditions are appropriately considered before any reintroduction takes place.

Dr. Qurban further elaborated on the center's commitment to releasing the species in areas that align with their natural distribution ranges. This strategic approach aims to support the long-term stability of the species and promote the establishment of sustainable, self-reproducing populations within these protected areas.
