National Center for Wildlife Announces End of 2025-2026 Hunting Season

Riyadh: The National Center for Wildlife (NCW) announced the conclusion of the Kingdom's 2025-2026 hunting season on January 31, 2026. The season, which began in early September 2025, was marked by successful regulatory developments and governance updates, achieved with the involvement of hunting experts and grounded in thorough research and international best practices. These efforts aimed to ensure the sustainable use of natural resources in accordance with the Environmental Law and the Kingdom's international commitments.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the season demonstrated a significant rise in environmental awareness and hunter compliance with regulations. Dr. Mohammad Qurban, CEO of NCW, highlighted the continued success in regulating hunting activities, which positively impacted ecological balance and the sustainability of natural resources. He emphasized that these achievements were built upon an integrated approach to wildlife management based on scientific and environmental principles.

Dr. Qurban noted that the effective organization of the hunting season underscores the progress in wildlife management within the Kingdom.
